ARTIST NAME: Preston Kemp
Preston Kemp's silver work has an old-school level of mastery. A quality over quanity feeling that you do not always see in work of craftsmen today. Preston Kemp turns 98 in October of this year and has been silversmithing since 1988 after attending some classes at the William Holland School of Lapidary Arts in Young Harris, Georgia. Each link of his sterling silver and gold filled wire pieces is hand formed and soldered together to form the delicate chains, earrings, and rings he makes. Each of the pieces he crafts are unique and possess an heirloom jewelry quality.
