Laura, former owner of Main & Maxwell, has always been invested in encouraging others to shine. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to open Main & Maxwell in 2016. Laura is a New York native who moved south in 1995 with her husband, Matt, an Army veteran and physician. As a lifelong art lover and accomplished potter, she spends her time freshly in retirement in her home studio, Bell House Pottery. When she’s not working on pottery, she is a very active community member, on several boards dedicated to making Uptown Greenwood a better place.
Store owner Kristen Bennett, a Lander University graduate, keeps the gallery vibrant with her humor, wit and style. Outside of running the shop, Kristen is also a celebrated painter and sketch artist. When she isn’t working on commission artwork, she spends all of her time with her dazzling fiancé, two adorable step kids, and two fat cats. She loves to run, watch trashy reality television, and eat her fiance’s cooking!
